Officials with the University of Nebraska are not happy about a student representing a conservative group being harassed by a professor and a grad student in Lincoln last Friday.  Kaitlyn Mullen is a sophomore and was signing up members for the conservative group, Turning Point USA and had a table set up promoting it. Mullen was met with name calling and signs stating the group are made up of Nazi’s and white nationalists.  Regent Hal Daub believes the protest against Turning Point USA was well planned.

Daub says this isn’t a free speech issue but more of a conduct issue.

Daub says their main concern is student safety.  Turning Point UNA is a national organization with about 1,000 chapters, including one at the University of Nebraska – Omaha.
