The University Of Minnesota Board Of Regents has voted to award an honorary posthumous degree to Minnesota music icon Prince.

U of M President Eric Kaler says a public event will be held for the presentation of the degree. Prince Rogers Nelson died suddenly at his Paisley Park home on April 21st after an accidental fentanyl overdose. He was 57.
