The University of Minnesota is inviting visitors to join them in Becker, MN, for the Sand Plain Research Farm field day on Thursday, July 10th.

Vasudha Sharma, PhD, University of Minnesota Assistant Professor and Extension Irrigation Specialist, said all are welcome to come learn about crop nutrition, diseases and irrigation practices that the research farm focuses on. The surrounding area is also known for heavy potato production which will be an added subject area to the typical crop information.

“This field day will cover many topics…we have many professors from the university who will be talking about disease and insect management,” Sharma said. “You will see presentations not just about corn and soybean but also about potatoes.”

The event is free to attend, and registration is encouraged but not required. For more information you can visit Sand Plain Research Farm field day | UMN Extension.
