United States Cattlemen Association members support the Trump administration’s efforts to renegotiate the U.S. South Korean Free Trade Agreement. USCA President Kenny Graner says he’s pleased U.S. Trade Ambassador Robert Lighthizer has formally requested talks with South Korea to look at possibly changing the trade pact and reducing the current $28 billion U.S. trade deficit.

He says many of the trade agreements the U.S. has need to be reviewed.

Graner says both the South Korean FTA as well as all the U.S. bilateral agreements need to have country of origin labeling included in them.

South Korea is currently the fifth largest U.S. agricultural export market, with beef leading the way, followed by lemons, shelled almonds, cheese, cherries, wine and beer.
