The United States Cattlemen’s Association is supporting President-elect Donald Trump’s pick of Montana Representative Ryan Zinke to head the Interior Department. USCA Vice President Bert Paris says they support Zinke’s record on federal land management and working with agencies to protect public lands, manage natural resources and provide opportunity for those who live, hunt, recreate and make their living on public lands.

He says they believe Zinke will bring more balance to Bureau of Land Management policies, with more practical land use methods and fewer lawsuits.

He says they also believe the regulatory climate will be eased under Zinke and there will be fewer fights over Endangered Species.

Paris says Rep. Zinke’s professional and personal backgrounds within the natural resources and conservation sectors will serve cattle producers well across the country in the coming years.
