The United State’s Cattlemen’s Association is pleased that USDA has sent two proposed rule and one interim rule for the Grains, Inspection and Stockyard’s Act over to the Office of Management and Budget for a final rule. USCA President and North Dakota producer Kenny Graner says those rules contain important protections for producers and re stores GIPSA funding.

He says these rules are important in ensuring transparency for livestock producers.

Graner says one of the important components of the rules would keep packers from buying from other packers and negatively impacting the market.

Graner says his group will be submitting comments once these rules are finalized.
