The University of North Dakota men’s baseball team has played its final home game and is less than a week away from the last game in program history.
UND is cutting baseball and men’s golf due to state budget cuts. The team played its final home game at Kraft Memorial Field in Grand Forks on Sunday, losing to New Mexico State 7-2.
UND launched its baseball program in 1889. The team plays its final games this week when it travels to Cal State Bakersfield for a three-game series that begins Thursday.
