The US Senate will return next week to again debate a bill that would label all genetically modified foods.
The bill would override a bill passed in Vermont calling for mandatory labeling of all foods containing genetically modified organisms.
South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says the bill has several identification methods

Rounds says manufacturers support a code on foods that would lead consumers to more information

Rounds says it seems like a good compromise

The bill had sixty-eight votes on a procedural move last week. The Vermont law went into effect July first.
