After years of work and negotiations, the U.S. resumed beef trade with China.  The first shipment of U.S. beef is on its way, and it is from Greater Omaha Packing.  President Henry Davis says it is a big day for the industry as a whole, and for the state of Nebraska.

They loaded the first shipment of U.S. beef destined for China yesterday.(Wednesday)  Governor Pete Ricketts was there to help load the beef.

Last September, officials from China toured the Greater Omaha Packing Company.
