U.S. Grains Council members are wrapping up their International Marketing Conference in Florida today. Council Chairman and Nebraska grower Alan Tiemann says the marketing and export of biofuels has been a major topic, along with the push for more biotechnology approvals around the world.

He says they’re also monitoring Trans Atlantic trade discussions and hoping to get more biotech approvals with the European Union through that deal.

Tiemann says Grains Council is also looking ahead to the next farm bill and hoping to get more funding for foreign ag marketing and market access programs.

More than 230 grains council delegates are attending this week’s conference.
