United States ethanol exports will hit another record for 2018. That’s good news for the industry considering the headwinds faced the last year with the Renewable Fuels Standard and plant waiver battle, plus poor ethanol margins. Emily Skor, CEO of Growth Energy says they are encouraged by the preliminary numbers.

She says several countries, including the leading customer Brazil, have stepped to the plate as major buyers for 2018.

Skor says they’re excited about future growth in exports due to the solutions ethanol can provide around the globe for countries looking at more renewable fuel sources.

She says this is all leaving the ethanol industry optimistic about the year ahead, especially if E15 is approved by the summer driving season to boost demand even further.
