Two Upsets Among GPAC Women

The top two seeds (Concordia, Dakota Wesleyan) each posted wins in the 2017 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Postseason Basketball Tournament, presented by Cypress Risk Management, on Wednesday night while the five and six seeds (Northwestern, Doane) each recorded upsets. 

The top-seed and second ranked Concordia Bulldogs picked up an 88-69 win over fourth-seed Midland. Second-seed Dakota Wesleyan cruised to a 94-60 win over Briar Cliff. Sixth-seed Doane, overcame a double digit deficit in the fourth quarter to emerge with a 77-75 win over third-seed Morningside in the closest game of the night. Northwestern, the fifth-seed, notched the other upset of the night with a 70-67 victory over fourth-seed Hastings.
