The Tripp-Delmont and Parkston school boards held a joint meeting Monday night to talk about possible consolidation.
The Tripp-Delmont district has been losing students, and because of that, will fall short financially under the new school funding formula.
Tripp-Delmont Superintendent Gail Swenson says they had a productive meeting……

Swenson says they want to keep some type of school in Tripp at the end of any consolidation….

Swenson says they will also meet Thursday with the Armour school board to talk about the same issues……

Swenson says they are also working out details of an additional opt out to at least give them some more time to work out a consolidation plan. They have an opt out of three hundred thousand dollars in place now.
