State Representative Tim Miller of Prinsburg says he’s disappointed Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton did not propose funding for a new veteran’s home in Montevideo. Miller says it’s hard to believe Dayton would rather spend $35 million on the Minnesota Zoo:
Bemidji is also vying for a veteran’s home. Management and Budget Commissioner Myron Frans (FRANZ) says the governor is looking for consensus:
Miller says there are over 15-hundred people on a waiting list looking for these homes and right now the federal government is saying that there is access for up to 230 beds for these veterans.
