Two Minnesota Men Facing Charges in Yankton High School Incident

Two men from Minnesota are facing misdemeanor charges after being found in the Yankton High School Building yesterday.
Yankton Police Chief Brian Paulsen says the two men entered the building shortly after noon yesterday……

Paulsen says the two, who are students at the University of South Dakota, were stopped and arrested….

The two have been identified as 18 year old Joseph Vanbuskirk of Rockford Minnesota, and 19 year old Adam Gerard of Greenfield Minnesota. Both posted two thousand dollar cash bond. Paulsen says they served a search warrant on their apartment in Vermillion last night, and some electronics were seized. Paulsen says a .22 rifle and a shotgun were found in the trunk of the car. He says neither weapon entered the high school.
Yankton School Superintendent Dr Wayne Kindle says their staff at the high school noticed the two quickly…..

Kindle says he knows parents and students are concerned with the incident….

Kindle says he expects the school board to talk about enhanced security measures at all of the school buildings in the district.
