Two Die in Accident on Highway 81 South of Yankton

Two people were killed Saturday morning when a semi and a SUV collided nearly head on about two miles south of Yankton.
A funeral home identified the two as 42 year old Laura Suhr and 2 year old Sean Suhr. Both are from Norfolk, and used to live in Yankton.
The accident was reported about 10:15 Saturday morning, near the weigh station turn off just south of the Junction of Highway 81 and state Highway 121.
Three people were in the SUV. The driver of the semi was not injured. Traffic was diverted for about four hours after the accident.
The Nebraska State Patrol and Cedar County Sheriff’s office are investigating. Yankton firefighters and Yankton County Emergency Services also responded to the crash.
