Two Dead in Marshall County Crash

Two people died Monday morning in a one-vehicle crash near Veblen.

Names of the two people involved are not being released pending notification of family.

A 2004 Chevrolet Impala was westbound on 101st Street, which is a gravel road, when the driver lost control. The vehicle went into the ditch and hit a tree.

The 17-year-old female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The 18-year-old male driver died while being flown to a Sioux Falls hospital. Both occupants were wearing seat belts.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this point.
