Logan Morrison hit a two-run single to give the Minnesota Twins’ offense a much-needed lift, and four relievers worked 3 1/3 scoreless innings in a 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Morrison’s liner hit high off the right-field wall with one out and the bases loaded in the eighth against reliever Boone Logan. Minnesota was 3 for 18 with runners in scoring position in the series before Morrison’s hit.
The Twins salvaged the final game of the series, snapping a three-game skid.
