Among the first changes by the new regime heading up the Minnesota Twins front office is the release of two members of the coaching staff.

Hitting coach Tom Brunansky and first base coach Butch Davis are out. Brunansky, a former Twins player, had been part of the major league staff as a coach since 2013. Davis had been first base coach the past two seasons.

The Twins will retain the remainder of the coaching staff under manager Paul Molitor. That includes pitching coach Neil Allen, third base coach Gene Glynn, bench coach Joe Vavra, bullpen coach Eddie Guardado and assistant hitting coach Rudy Hernandez.

Minnesota introduced the new front office duo of Derek Falvey and Thad Levine earlier this week.
