Twins Pair In Futures Game

A pair of Minnesota Twins minor leaguers took part in Sunday’s All Star Futures Game with mixed results.

Outfielder Alex Kirilloff and pitcher Lewis Thorpe represented the Twins as Team USA beat the World Team 10-6.

Kirilloff went 2-2 for the winners, including a single off Thorpe who gave up two homers and four runs in less than an inning of work for the losing side.

Former Twins standout Torii Hunter managed Team USA. David Ortiz managed the World squad.
