The Minnesota Twins split their squad for a pair of spring training games Wednesday and both resulted in one run losses.

Ubaldo Jimenez has his best outing of spring training, allowing two runs and five hits over four innings Wednesday as the Baltimore Orioles beat a Minnesota Twins’ split squad 3-2.

Eduardo Nunez, trying to win a bench spot with the Twins, drove in a run along with Eddie Rosario, who hopes to become Minnesota’s starting center fielder.

Rick Porcello allowed one run and three hits in four innings and Mookie Betts hit his fifth spring training double, helping the Boston Red Sox beat a Minnesota Twins’ split squad 3-2 Wednesday.

Minnesota’s Mike Pelfrey gave up one run and three hits in four innings, struck out three and walked none.
