Twins Have New Double A Team

The Minnesota Twins have announced that they have signed a two-year player development contract with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos spent the last 11 seasons as the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds (2009-2018).

Blue Wahoos Stadium was awarded the Best Double-A ballpark by Ballpark Digest in 2016, MiLB.com Best Seat in the House in 2015 and Ballparks.com Ballpark of the Year in 2012.

The Twins have had seven different previous Double-A affiliations in franchise history: Chattanooga (1946-1959, 2015-2018), New Britain (1997-2014), Hardware City (1995-1996), Nashville (1961, 1993-1994), Orlando (1973-1992), Charlotte (1963-1972), and Albany (1935-1936).
