The Minnesota Twins are set up for fewer postponed games in 2015, even if the spring weather is cold and soggy again.
The Twins announced their schedule, which includes only 10 home games in April and 20 before Memorial Day. The Twins had three April postponements in both 2013 and 2014. They were scheduled 15 home games in April in 2013 and 14 in 2014.
The Twins will start the season at Detroit on April 6 and play their home opener against Kansas City on April 13.
Next year’s interleague opponents will come from the National League Central division, with the home-and-home three-game weekend series against Milwaukee reinstated after playing midweek two-game sets the last two seasons. St. Louis, Chicago and Pittsburgh will also visit Target Field.
