Twins Forced To Re-Schedule

The Minnesota Twins postponed their series opener Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers because of inclement weather.

The Twins announced the decision Tuesday afternoon, more than six hours before the scheduled first pitch. The game will be made up Thursday as part of a day-night doubleheader.

With a cold, wet system hovering over Minnesota and forecast to linger all week, the scheduled game Wednesday night will be tough to get in, too. Temperatures have been in the high 30s and low 40s, and rain mixed with snow has fallen since Saturday night.

The Twins were rained out for the second straight game.

This was the 11th postponed game for the Twins in five seasons at Target Field, six of which have been over the last two Aprils.
