Mount Marty Coach Honored

Mount Marty College archery team head coach Josahan Jaime-Sambrano was named the 2019 USA Archery Collegiate Program Coach of the Year.

Jaime-Sambrano has seen tremendous success since the program became a varsity sport 3 years ago. She’s helped the Mount Marty team attain 6 national championships in US Collegiate Archery and National Field Archery Association tournaments. Under her guidance, the Lancers have also earned 22 podium placements at collegiate regional events including 14 gold medals.

Coach Jaime-Sambrano has had a 20-year history in the sport. She was a 3-time collegiate All American from Texas A&M University, former member of the Mexican national archery team and is currently the programs director at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center along with her role as coach for the Mount Marty College archery team and the University of South Dakota archery club.
