Twins Blast Dickey

R.A. Dickey gave up solo home runs to Kennys Vargas in the second inning and Eddie Rosario in the fourth on Tuesday during the Toronto Blue Jays’ 5-3 loss to the Minnesota Twins.

Dickey, the 2012 NL Cy Young Award winner, allowed four hits in two innings and struck out two. The knuckleballer opened spring training last week with two hitless innings against Baltimore.

Minnesota starter Kyle Gibson allowed one run and three hits in three innings.

Ryan Goins drove in two runs for the Blue Jays.
