The National FFA Convention is just around the corner, set for October 27 through the 30th in Indianapolis, Indiana. And 28 South Dakota FFA members will be honored at the event as they’ve earned their FFA American Degree. South Dakota FFA Foundation Executive Director Geri Eide says that’s the top award given out by the FFA.

She says 28 is a bit smaller than in past years but that was effected by the pandemic.

Eide says besides the American Degree, South Dakota FFAers will be recognized for several other awards at the National Convention.

Eide says helping these FFA students were all the Ag Educators teaching in South Dakota’s schools and leading those 15 chapters. She says they need to be recognized for their hard work and achievement in helping these students
