Trans Atlantic Trade Investment Partnership Act negotiators are meeting in Miami, Florida this week for their 11th round of discussions. American Soybean Association President Wade Cowan says biotech acceptance is expected to be one of the talking points and they won’t support a deal that doesn’t resolve this issue, especially with the European Union.

Cowan says in the long run delaying biotech approvals costs all producers.

This week negotiators are also expected to talk about regulatory best practices and reaching an agreement on sanitary and phytosanitary measures.
