The major agricultural issue that came up during this week’s Presidential candidate debate was trade. One of Republican Donald Trump’s agricultural advisors, Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller, says Mr. Trump sounded clear and decisive on his trade position.
He says Trump also made points by outlining the problems the U.S. has with the large trade deficit.
Miller says the two candidates differ greatly on trade and Trump is for “fair trade, not free trade”.
Miller is hoping more ag issues will be talked about during future Presidential debates.
