Former Texas Governor Rick Perry is President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to become Secretary of Energy. Although Perry comes from an oil and gas state and has not been supportable of renewable fuels in the past, it’s important to find common ground with him if he’s confirmed for that job. That’s according to Nebraska Ethanol Board Administrator Todd Sneller
He says the Energy Secretary needs to work for policies that support both the farm and overall economy.
Sneller says the Energy Secretary must also cooperate with the nation’s Governors in advancing successful energy policy.
Also on the list of finalists for the Energy Secretary’s job was North Dakota Senator Heidi Heitkamp.
