The Conferenced Highway Bill passed by the House and Senate contains an important milk truckers provision. National Milk Producer Federation’s Chris Galen says that component allows heavier weight limits for trucks hauling milk and they’re pleased this provision was included in the transportation legislation.

Galen says the milk trucker’s provision will also provide for safer, more efficient and less costly transportation of that product.

The Highway legislation is a $305 billion 5-year measure. A White House spokesperson has already confirmed the President will sign the measure once it reaches his desk.
