SD Legislators Face Massive Transportation Bill

Bills for the 2015 session of the South Dakota legislature are being filed in advance of the session start next week.

Among the bills is one from a summer study of transportation in the state.

Representative Jim Bolin of Canton says that will be among the big ones…

 

Bolin, a member of the House Transportation Committee, says there will have to be tax and fee increases…

 

Bolin says a certain amount of the money raised will go to the counties…

 

Members of the special committee said the annual need is actually closer to one hundred forty million dollars. The session opens next Tuesday.
