Transportation Bill Is Short Term Fix

Before adjourning earlier this month, Congress passed another short term transportation bill. That bill continues the bulk of funding for highway construction projects across the country, but only until next spring.

Dennis Slater is President of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. At a stop this week in Yankton, he says the lack of commitment from Congress is a problem…

Slater says members of his association are seeing slow sales, due in part to the lack of a long term funding bill…

Slater says they hope there is consensus, especially in the new Congress next year…

Slater was at Kolberg-Pioneer in Yankton as part of the “I Make America” manufacturing tour.
