Handing the farm or ranch from one generation to the next often faces challenges, and many times family disagreements.  A seminar scheduled for June 8th and 9th to be held at Lincoln, Nebraska will help answer questions families may have when passing the farming business to the next generation.  Heather Gessner, SDSU Extension Livestock Business Management Specialist tells what the seminar will cover.

Gessner says the transition of farms can be one of the most stressful items for farm families, especially if they don’t have outside counsel to help with the process.

Gessner says early registration for the conference is May 15th.  She says families can visit the SDSU website to register for the International Farm Transition Network.
