Further Trans Pacific Partnership discussions got underway in Hawaii this week with hopes of finishing a deal in the near future. National Cattlemen’s Beef Association President, Philip Ellis says it has the potential to bring great benefits to America’s cattle producers.

Ellis says although it’s a long way off, having a successful TPP is critical for achieving the right building blocks for a positive Trans Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership deal between the U.S. and European Union.

Once completed, the Trans Pacific Partnership will be the largest regional trade deal ever, with its members accounting for nearly 40 percent of the world economy.
