Later this summer and into the fall, crews from Trans Canada will be digging up, and replacing sections of the Keystone crude oil pipeline.
Trans Canada spokesman Matthew John says they are considering them routine repairs
Sections of pipe from nine to forty feet long will be replaced in areas ranging from northern Nebraska through Oklahoma.
John says those repairs will allow them to increase the oil line pressure
John says new sections of pipeline will conform to the updated regulations they are dealing with
John says the repairs are not related to the recent leak of the Keystone pipeline in southern Hutchinson County South Dakota
