Trans Canada Files Brief With Nebraska Supreme Court

Trans Canada is filing a friend of the court brief in Nebraska siding with the Governor and the state in the lawsuit filed by three Nebraska ranchers. The state is appealing the district court decision that threw out the Nebraska law allowing siting of the Keystone Pipeline. Trans Canada’s Shawn Howard says his group has valuable information to share in the case with the Nebraska Supreme Court.
Howard says they’re moving forward with gathering easements and working with landowners who live near the right of way of the Keystone Project.
Howard says it’ll likely be September before the Nebraska High Court schedules a hearing on the state’s appeal of the district court decision that found the state law unconstitutional that would have allowed the Governor final approval of the pipeline project.
