Trail King Facing Slow Economy; Furloughing Workers

Low Ag commodity prices are starting to have an impact on businesses and manufacturing companies across the region.
Bruce Yakley is CEO of Trail King, based in Mitchell. He says they are feeling the slowdown……

Workers at their three plants in Mitchell, Yankton and Fargo have been furloughed one week a month for the past few months.

Yakley says so far, most employees are staying with them…..

Yakley says furloughs will continue for some of their workers the rest of the year…..

Yakley says their business seems to run in seven year cycles, and they will see the bottom of the current cycle into next year.
