Traffic is about to increase dramatically on Nebraska roads.

Memorial Day traditionally marks the beginning of tourism season with Nebraskans heading off to various vacation spots.

Nebraska State Patrol Superintendent John Bolduc says drivers need to keep their mind on their driving, not on their cell phones. . .

Bolduc also reminds drivers to drive defensively, watching out for all vehicles, including motorcycles. . .

Bolduc says the best safety practice motorists can observe is to wear their seat belts, stating that two-thirds of those killed in traffic accidents were NOT wearing their seat belts.
