The Senate is expected to move forward on Trade Promotion Authority Legislation late today or tomorrow. National Farmers Union’s Senior Vice President of programs, Chandler Goule says the Farmers Union opposes the measure, but admits it will likely be approved as a stand alone bill.
Goule says after it passes the Senate, it will get signed by the President and will lead to more negative effects for the nation’s economy and expand the current trade deficit.
Besides taking up TPA, the Senate this week may also consider a separate TAA measure.
