U.S. Trade Ambassador Michael Froman and Nebraska Congressman Brad Ashford held a round table discussion with several Nebraska agricultural groups and State Ag Director Greg Ibach in Valley, Nebraska this week. State Farmers Union President, John Hansen, who was part of that discussion, says U.S. trade policy is currently not working and changes need to be incorporated for fair trade to happen.

Hansen says specific steps need to be taken to address the current trade deficit which is sapping the U.S. and agricultural economies.  He says his group continues to disagree with the Trade Ambassador and opposes giving Trade Promotion Authority to the President.
