Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley says there could possibly be a trade deal between the U.S. and the United Kingdom by the end of this year depending upon the results of the Presidential election. He doesn’t think however there will be any deal reached prior to the election however.

He says by the end of the year there could be a U.S. U.K. pact in place but that could get pushed into January depending on what happens with the Presidential election.

National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s Senior Vice President of International Trade and Market Access Kent (back-us) Bacus says there’s a much better chance to get a trade agreement with the United Kingdom than with the European Union.

Bacus says to be able to feed the world, combat climate change and protect food security, sound science must be used.
