The Chairman of the U.S. Senate Ag Committee gathered input from Nebraska producers on the next Farm Bill.
Kansas Senator Pat Roberts says trade was one of the big issues farmers and ranchers brought up during the event.
Roberts says trade negotiations over NAFTA and with China need to be resolved soon.
Roberts says the tariff China imposed on U.S. sorghum caused the price to drop from being profitable for farmers to them losing 80 cents on every dollar. Roberts, and Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer appeared at a farm bill forum in Grand Island.
