Trade problems with Japan persist over the Trans Pacific Partnership deal. Those discussions are scheduled to resume this week in Japan after negotiators met two weeks ago in the United States. NCBA’s Vice President of Government Affairs Colin Woodall says the U.S. needs to remain firm on insisting Japan brings its tariffs to zero in order to reach a successful conclusion to TPP.
Woodall says although President Obama is scheduled to travel to Japan in April he doesn’t see quick resolution on the TPP talks.
There are a dozen countries involved in the TPP talks.
