The National Pork Forum is underway in Orlando, Florida. South Dakota pork producer Steve Rommereim, President of the National Pork Board says their major issue is dealing with African Swine Fever which broke out in China and has been spreading.

Rommereim says it’s important pork producers understand the role the Pork Board has in representing them.

National Pork Board member Terry O’Neel of Friend, Nebraska says they’re upgrading their office in Des Moines to be able to showcase their product to consumers.

O’Neel says it’s critical pork producers get involved in their organization.

Pork Forum began on Wednesday and wraps up on Friday.
