The yearly case of the crud is starting to make the rounds. Many people don’t feel sick enough to see a doctor, so they head to their local drug store to stock up on cold and flu medications. Many people reach for acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol to reduce symptoms. University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Medicine Clinical Associate Professor Dr. Ally Dering-Anderson says too much can do major damage to one vital organ.

Dering-Anderson says people often are taking over the recommended dosage and don’t even realize it.

Dering-Anderson says that is when you must talk to your pharmacy to find the best combination without doing any damage to organs.
