Time to Think Winter

Time to Think Winter

Even though we probably don’t want to think about it, Wednesday is “Winter Weather Awareness Day” in South Dakota.

Todd Heitkamp at the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says while it has been very mild, now is the best time to prepare for what is coming…………

Heitkamp says while they have been forecasting a milder than normal winter due to the effects of El Nino, it doesn’t mean no winter…………

Heitkamp says this winter we will still hear the same terms of winter storm watch, and winter storm and blizzard warnings………

Heitkamp says the forecast out two weeks also doesn’t show much in the way of cold weather.
