As spring begins the slow transition to warmer temperatures, it’s time again to think about severe weather.
Severe Weather Awareness Training Classes sponsored by the National Weather Service Office in Sioux Falls start next week, with the first meeting Tuesday in DeSmet.
Trainer Todd Heitkamp says this will be a special year…..
He has been presenting severe weather classes for thirty two years.
Heitkamp says most people have access to weather radar now, so he will have some explanations…..
Heitkamp says the weather service has added some powerful tools in new weather satellites and updated radar, but common sense is still important…..
Meetings will be held through the end of April across the tri-state area.
