The dangers of severe weather and tornadoes has been the focus of spotter training classes this spring.

While the long cold winter slowed the start of the severe season, Heitkamp says it can ramp up quickly……
Heitkamp has been doing the severe weather classes for twenty-four years, and this will be his last year out in the field.
He will become the Meteorologist in Charge of the Sioux Falls office.
