Time is running out for the 115th Congress to pass critical tax legislation before they close out the session. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says he wants to see the tax extenders legislation passed but says it’s a tough lift as they have a lot left to complete.

He says his top priority is getting the tax credit approved for biodiesel to give the industry certainty going forward.

Grassley says if they can’t get the biodiesel tax extenders passed during this lame duck session he’ll bring it up again in January.

Grassley says it’ll be tough to pass the extenders legislation unless it’s part of the overall appropriations package they’re trying to wrap up before adjourning for the year.
